That is something I honestly never thought I would say. I love summer, but this year it is just not as much fun. Hubby deployed, 2 kids who want to do nothing but argue (thankfully, they are not physical - most of the time). FatBoy is great, but he can't take the heat, so we can't hang out at the pool like we did last year. The water has been too cold for him to get in it, so all we can do is sit and bake while the other 2 play. Not fun!
I am ready for this to be all over. I am ready to leave for TX to visit family, which is looking like it will be another day after I was hoping for, maybe 2. I still have to come back at the same time to get the dogs out of the kennel though. Oh well, enough of my pity party....Off to get some more of the house clean, at least if I can accomplish that, I won't have too much to do when I come back!!!

Hang in there, hun....just stumbled across your blog. I can relate to the 'no writing' thing..I have a lot of thoughts, but frankly while dealing with this past year's deployment, I haven't had a lot of time nor energy to put them down. Last year was my long summer. My sweetie is on his way home soon. It didn't go by quickly. And it wasn't easy. But just know there are others like me who truly do know what you're going through. Hang in there--I'll say a prayer for you today!!
