FatBoy Arrives :)

So the long awaited baby is finally here! He is a great baby. We had a little scare at the actual birth, but I will write about that later! He is perfectly healthy though and doing awesome. I have recovered rather quickly, way faster than with Speed. Though FatBoy was bigger!

Imagine that

Well they bumped me to tomorrow now! Maybe I can force it on my own, hmmmmmm?? Of course nothing has worked so far!

It looks like......

Baby time will be tomorrow! Dr scraped the membranes today, and I am dilated to a 3. If I don't end up in labor on my own tonight, then I have an appointment scheduled for 8:30 am to be induced! Now I realize that once this process has started I might not be so happy about it, but for now at least all the guessing is gone and I know it will happen and happen soon!

Last WOD I did was yesterday and it was:

"The Chief"

Max rounds in 3 minutes of:
135 pound Power cleans, 3 reps (25# DB)
6 Push-ups
9 Squats
Rest 1 minute. Repeat for a total of 5 cycles

I think the most rounds I got in a set was 3. by the end it was 2 LOL

So yay, FatBoy is coming soon and I can't wait to post pics!

Buttswaited!!

That is how Speed used to say Frustrated and that is how I feel right now! I was getting so excited that FatBoy was headed into this workd and then nothing!!! Still nothing! So, I did another WOD today in hopes that it would help induce labor, but not much has happened. A few contraction, but nothing to get all happy about.

3 rounds

20 box jumps (step ups)
15 Over head Squats 75# (I did 45#)

7:02

Short and sweet. I thought that the bar was going to be harder because having this belly seems to make certain moves difficult, but I actually think I could have done more. Not that I would at this point, but you know! Maybe we will have to resort to a few other tried and true methods that are supposed to help induce!

Seriously??

OK, today is supposed to be the "magic" date for this baby to get here! I realize it rarely happens that way, but come on! Let us start with Thursday's WOD, then Friday's, and then I will tell you what has been happening in the ever so changing land of labor!

Thursday

Tabata - I don't know which one

Ring push ups
Sit ups
Handstands (I held 2 20#dumbells over my head)

Ok this was painful, and I am still sore from the push ups! And trying to hold the DBs over my head, not as easy as it sounds! Ha, ha a couple of other guys in the gym thought I was going into labor I was making so much noise!

Friday

5 rounds
15 DB snatches right arm
16 step ups (Rx was double unders)
15 DB snatches left arm
16 step ups

This one just made me really tired afterward.

So Friday evening, I start having some contractions. They are about 30-45 minutes apart. They are not hurting or anything, but this is a good sign that things are moving along right?? I go to bed and they basically stop! Saturday morning, they start back up again at about 20 minutes apart. By evening they are 10-15 minutes apart with cramping as well. It gets late so we go to bed and guess what happens! Thats right....nothing! This morning I have had one....ONE! GQ thinks I should try burpees, LOL! I have to wait till they are 5 mins apart before I can go to the hospital.

We are sooo ready for this baby to get here, even though my house is a mess. I never really started nesting I guess with this one. He is still moving around like crazy though. My dr is on duty today - maybe I should call him and see if he will induce???? He was willing to do it last week, but I wanted to wait - what was I thinking???

Baby News and today's WOD

Yes I am still working out! After my visit to the Dr on Wednesday, I found out that I am all ready dialated to 2cm and 70% effaced. This could happen at anytime!!!! Woohoo!! Still have to finish packing my hospital bag though. I am such a slacker!

Today's WOD

Diane

21-15-9

Deadlift (55lb KB's)

handstand push ups (25# DB shoulder press)

11:18

I am still worn out from this, but that is OK! I took a nap, hehe!

Technique

We have speeding issues here on this post. It is worse than I have ever seen on any other post before. Talked to the MP's here one day and was told they write over 500 every month! This is a small post!

The biggest problem is when the kids are coming and going from school. Speed limit in the residential areas here is 15. When these kids get out of school, I would say about 85-90% of them have to cross the road that runs behind the school, because most of them live back there, including us.

There is a group of mothers who have been trying to get signs posted or speed bumps or even just an MP to come and sit while the kids are coming and going to school. We finally got one unmarked cop to come and watch what was happening.

Speed, DG and I were crossing the crosswalk (which they just painted on recently) one afternoon as a car comes flying around the corner. They start to slow down, but my kids were still in the street so I stopped in the middle so they had to stop. One of the other moms was out there with her 5 yr old this day with a posterboard that said "Thank you for not speeding" and she walked out to the street while he was stopped and said, the speed limit is 15! As soon as she stepped off the street, he floored it. Mind you there are still other kids walking home and around the street.

A couple of driveways down was the unmarked car, who blipped his siren, yet the car did not even slow down. The cop had to chase him halfway through the neighborhood to finally get him to pull over! Idiot!

As me and the kids were driving to chuech the other day, I guess after having mulled this over for a few days, Speed pipes up from the back seat and says, "You know, it would be a great technique if all cop cars did not have police written on them. I bet they would catch more people." Hmmmmm, sounds like a technique they should use more often, huh?? :)
