Nephew has arrived!

My little nephew arrived last night at 12:30 am. Little Ian is 5 lbs and 11 oz, 19 inches long. He looks exactly like my Brother in law!!! Even has a head full of curly dark hair! I have only one picture, but I didn't ask permission to post it, so I won't! He is just too adorable. I know my sister will make a great mom and I am so excited for her! I can't wait to be able to see him, though it will probably be a few months before that happens! *sigh*

Nephew on the way!

My sister called this morning to let me know that she is in labor and that I shoudd have a new nephew today!!! I am so excited!! This is her first child and he is going to be about a 3 weeks early. The doctors have done sonograms though and the baby is fine. My sister ended up with Toxemia so that is why they induced. Her spirits are good though and the doctors aren't expecting anything bad to happen. I can't wait to see pictures of my nephew!! His name is going to be Ian.

This is the part that sucks about being military and not controlling where you are. We are 1500 miles away from them, so I can't drive there and can't afford to buy plane tickets! I had to miss Christmas with them and will miss this too!! I will keep you updated as I can!!

Thought I should try this!

I see so many other milspouses who really enjoy using their blog as an outlet. I thought this might be a way for me to get back into writing, which I did once upon a time, and connecting to other milspouses, friends, and family.

I will keep this one really short, as I haven't decided exactly how I would like to format this new avenue of communication! Please bear with me as I muddle my way through it!
