But, MOOooOOM!

I think I have heard that more today than ever before. All because I made the kids clean their room, and refused to let them have ice cream from the truck.

My son was even willing to throw ALL of his toys away rather than pick them up. So I made him clean them anyway. He still isn't finished. DG actually has a clean room - which is like amazing!!! Her room is always a disaster.

They were fighting...again, like they have been since about 2 weeks before school was out. When I asked them why today, DG says "That's what brothers and sisters do, Mom." She even managed to look completely exasperated. What could I say to that??

Oh and Trying! I am going to do the Cookie Swap, but I have to go get some of the ingredients! I am looking forward to trying your recipe!! I love pumpkin everything!!!!

Not a mom, but I totally would have called his bluff, picked up his toys, put them in a trash bag, and waited to see how long it would take for him to regret that statement.

With all the fighting, do they have any summer camps lined up? Does mommy need a cocktail?

Well, see.....He only wanted to do it so he didn't have to pick them all up. I told him if I threw them away that he would never ever get any new toys again. He started crying nad asked if that meant from Santa too. I told him most definitely because Santa doesn't bring toys to kids that don't take care of them.

You know, I think that next time I will bag them up and leave them in his closet so he can't play with them and until he is ready to put them all up he can't open the bag. A friend of mine did that and I think I am going to try it too!

Glad that at least your daughter has a clean room. It's the little things in life, right?
