WOD from yesterday

So yesterday we did Filthy Fifty - and all I can say is ouch! GQ is sore, but I am not, at least yet. I tend to get more sore as the day goes by.

28:28 was my time

50 box jumps (step ups)
50 kettlbell swings (20#)
50 push press (45# bar)
50 lunges
50 wall balls (12#)
50 Knees to Elbows (This one is hilarious to watch me do I must say - lots of grunting to get my knees to my waist at this point LOL)
50 double unders (I did squats)

I have to say I was very nervous about this one as it is alot, but I was ok all the way through it. I didn't go hard and heavy or anything.

GQ also leaves on Monday for an unspecified amount of time. I usually am not real concerned about him going TDY, but I am 3 weeks away from my due date. I have to say that I am a little nervous this time. Even though I know that he can come home if something happens, it is just unnerving. As long as I am not early, I know he will be back before I go into labor. Hopefully that won't happen. At this time, I don't think it will, but you never know! OK enough preggo insecurity!

Baby Shower and Valentine's

My baby shower went fabulously! I had a great time and I hope everyone else did too! Here a few pictures from the shower:

Instead of cards, the hostesses asked the guests to bring books, with inscriptions of who they were from. It was such an awesome idea as I now have many new books to read to the baby and they all came from someone I care about - and somehow I did not get any that I all ready had!

DG and Speed had a friendship dance at their school and I took a couple of pics before we left for it. I should have taken my camera to the dance, but oh well!

We had a great Valentine's day though it was way more laid back than some other great stories I have read on here! I received a lovely bouquet of pink, white, and red tulips! We just hung out all day and went out to dinner at On The Border (the only decent Mexican food in the general area!!!) We got there before the crowds so we only had a 10 minute wait. GQ blackmailed the kids into taking a bite of the dried out chili's before they could eat their ice cream, I was quite surprised that DG did it with a smile on her face!

So in baby news - 4 weeks to go now!!! My mom finally went and got the fabric for the bedding - and I pray she starts making it like now, there isn't much time left! I will post pictures of those when I can!

I think I will only workout 3 days a week now, unless I am feeling extra spiffy one day I guess! I haven't been timing the workouts but the last couple I have done were:

4 rounds

20 wall ball - 12lb

20 one armed KB swings 20lb

20 push ups

20 pull ups

4 rounds

12 back squats - 45#

12 pull ups

12 wall balls - 12 lbs

about 12 minutes for this one

AMRAP in 20

5 Ball Cleans 12lb
10 Lunges - 15lb kb in each hand
15 Double Unders - I did squats as I can't really jump right now

I had like 9 rounds for this one - GQ did like 14 or more of this one - he lost count LOL

The kids are needing to get ready for bed so I had better get off here and I don't know - be a mom hehe!

It's Cold Outside!

I wish that if it was going to snow that it would stick. My kids get so disappointed when they can't go sledding around in it. 2 days in a row, we had a couple of inches but it was all melted by the time they got home. Now today it is barely 28 degrees and there is nothing for them to play in. Just bitter wind!

I had a good workout today even if I was a little slow! I think GQ passed me at least 2 times on this one LOL.

As many rounds as possible in 20 minutes:

5 handstand push ups (I did 25# DB press)
10 push ups (I have to use a bench so I am at an incline, and the belly doesn't hit the ground :) )
15 box jumps (step ups for me!)
20 squats

I did 6 rounds plus 5 presses and I feel pretty good about it! It is funny when other guys he works with come in and see me working out. You can always see the surprise on their face!

I have just a little over 5 weeks to go!! I have been cleaning and reorganizing. Yesterday I went and got the outfit to bring FatBoy home in. I can't wait!!!

Catching up!

You know, I come on here daily to catch up on everyone else, but for some reason have ignored my own blog!

We had a great Christmas. We made it into OR just a few hours before thay shut down the airport, and then besically got stuck at my in laws house for 4 days. It never stopped snowing! That was the most they have had there since like '68. There were not enough snow plaws to clear any residential areas so unless you had a 4x4 or all wheel traction, you weren't going anywhere! My Sis in law kept losing power at their house, but they had a generater for back up. It snowed on Christmas day too! So we did get a white Christmas :)

Then about a week or two ago, they had a bad wind storm, and this tree came tumbling down!!! Luckily it did not land on anyone's house or vehicle! It even missed the mailbox....

In other news, DG has turned 8 and we are having her party in 2 days! Speed turned 6 over Christmas! They both of course made out like bandits on all their new stuff...

I am also now 33 weeks along! Only 7 weeks left!!! How did that happen??? Fatboy moves around alot and has started stretching alot. I think this is due to the fact that he doesn't have enough room to actually kick anymore. He makes my tummy dance around he moves soo much! Maybe he will actually push hard enough one day I can get a pic of the outline of his foot or something, how cool would that be?

I am still working out 4 days a week at this point and even over the Christmas break was able to PR my Crossfit total score! I scored a 465!! Though now I am down to almost strict body weight WOD's and even some of those are hard to do Rx. I have to sub for many things now. I am OK with that because I am determined that I am going to recover quickly and be stronger than I was last time!

Now all I have to do is get the baby's room set up! I am getting so excited about all of this! I can't wait to meet this sweet little boy!!! Hopefully I won't have to call GQ home early from his month long TDY for anything though - he is scheduled to be back before I am due!

Tran-Siberian Orchestra

Last night was so awesome!!! A friend and I went to go see the Tran-Siberian Orchestra. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. Did you know that a violinist can lay down on the floor like a guitar player and play? She was awesome!! Her name is Anna Phoebe. Phenomenal was what I thought the whole time I watched her play!

Of course the whole group was absolutely fantabulous to watch! I really hope that I can go again next year, maybe to a bigger venue. I heard the special effects are much bigger at a larger venue, so we will see. I have the best hubby ever!!!!! Now I am ready to go Christmas shopping :)

On a side note, I think Fat Boy really like it too as during one song he was kicking the crap out of my side. It was kind of neat :)

I got a really cute card from my kids this morning for my birthday, too. So all in all a great way to start the day and the weekend!!!

Birthday and Baby Bump

I am just so excited!! GQ bought me and a friend tickets to go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Thursday! I have always wanted to go to one of their concerts. I miss my music of fine arts quite a bit(I was an instrumental music ed major in my early college days). He isn't going with me though. I would love it if he did, but to be honest, he would be bored out of his skull! He knows me so well though! I didn't even tell him that I wanted to go. So now me and a friend of mine get to get dressed up and go see this wonderful group! He is just the best! It is a great birthday present! (which is actually Friday, for those of you who want to know :))

On a side note, I will add a baby bump pic here, though I don't think it's that good of a shot :)
